Player Bio

Renata Zarazúa (born September 30, 1997, in Mexico City, Mexico) became only the second Mexican woman to enter the WTA Top 100 when she reached world No. 51 in November 2024. She has claimed 2 WTA 125 singles titles—at the 2023 Montevideo Open and the 2024 Charleston 125—and multiple ITF titles in both singles and doubles. In August 2025, Zarazúa made history by defeating world No. 6 Madison Keys at the US Open, becoming the first Mexican woman to beat a Top 10 seed at a Grand Slam. She carries a proud tennis heritage—her great-uncle Vicente Zarazúa was a distinguished Mexican Davis Cup player.
