AUSTIN, Texas – The initial entry list for the Austin125 has been released, with nearly two dozen of the world’s Top 200 players set to compete at the inaugural WTA 125 tournament running from November 3-9, 2025 at the Austin Tennis Academy. The Austin125 is the newest WTA 125 tournament. This exciting new event will feature 32 singles players and eight doubles teams competing on outdoor courts for a week of intense competition and big moments.

Hometown favorite Peyton Stearns, who led the University of Texas Longhorns to back-to-back NCAA team titles in 2021 and 2022, has announced that she will be playing. Stearns previously reached a career-high ranking of World No. 28 and claimed her first Hologic WTA Tour singles title in 2024 in Rabat.

Joining her will be American Sloane Stephens, the 2017 US Open champion; Ajla Tomljanović, a three-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist; seventeen-year-old American tennis phenom Iva Jovic—who last year became the youngest woman to win a main draw match at the US Open in more than twenty years; and Great Britain’s Katie Boulter, who is currently ranked World No. 59. Boulter has established a name for herself on the Hologic WTA Tour with titles in Nottingham and San Diego, along with finals appearances in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

They will be joined by Top 100 American players Alycia Parks—known for her powerful serve—plus Caroline Dolehide and Caty McNally, who have both previously played in Austin at the ATX Open.

The Wild Card participants in this year’s field are exceptional. They include Stephens and Jovic along with American, Malaika Rapolu, the University of Texas standout; and rising star American Jennifer Jackson, hailing from Austin Tennis Academy and newly declaring Pro.

“The strength of this player field for a WTA 125 event is an indication of what we’ve been building here in Austin for professional women’s tennis,” said Tournament Director Christo Van Rensburg. “We are humbled and honored to have so many big names and great people competing in the inaugural Austin125. Tennis fans in Texas are in for a major treat this November. We can’t wait to have them out to Spanish Oaks to see some of the biggest names in tennis competing for a championship.”
