Player Bio

Carmen Herea (born March 6, 2006, in Bucharest, Romania) is an emerging player recognized for her all-court versatility and aggressive baseline play. She joined the University of Texas women’s tennis team in 2024 and quickly became one of the program’s top performers. As a freshman, she posted a 7–2 fall singles record and finished ranked No. 28 in the ITA singles rankings. In 2025, she made history by becoming only the fourth Longhorn—and the first in 31 years—to reach the singles final at the ITA All-American Championships.
