Player Bio

Petra Marčinko (born December 4, 2005, in Zagreb, Croatia) broke through as one of the sport’s most promising young stars. She concluded 2021 as the world No. 1 junior after winning both singles and doubles at the prestigious Orange Bowl. 
She captured the 2022 girls’ singles title at the Australian Open – Girls’ Singles, defeating Sofia Costoulas in the final. 
On the professional circuit, she has won nine ITF singles titles and four ITF doubles titles.
Her career-high WTA singles ranking is No. 113 (achieved August 11, 2025).
In July 2025 she lifted her first WTA 125 singles trophy at the ATV Tennis Open (Rome, Italy) defeating Oksana Selekhmet’eva 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
