Whitney Osuigwe (born April 17, 2002, in Bradenton, Florida) rose to prominence in junior tennis by winning the 2017 French Open – Girls’ Singles, becoming the first American to do so in 28 years. 
She reached a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 105 in August 2019. 
On the ITF circuit, she has captured five singles titles.
Osuigwe began training at the IMG Academy at age six, under the guidance of her father Desmond—originally from Lagos, Nigeria—who serves as her coach. Her favorite surface is clay.
